Here’s a little snow FREEBIE I created in honor of the snowfall we had late last week.
It’s called Snow Plow and features the two sounds of OW: the long o and the ou sound. It’s perfect for any child working on this particular phonics feature (around 1st grade or above).
Cut apart and set up the head words (SNOW and PLOW)
Cut apart the words, read, and sort by the OW sound (answer key provided)

What a cute idea! I love the truck!
Very Cute! Thanks for the freebie! <3
One of my boys will be reaching this lesson very soon…….. Or course I don’t think he has a clue what a snow plow is
Maybe you could turn it into a vocabulary lesson, too.
This is awesome, Becky! My vehicle-obsessed son would have loved it when he was learning to read! Thanks so much for sharing your winter printables. I featured your printable as the Free Printable of the Day at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow (and on Pinterest)
Thank you, Deb!
