So, I’m posting our Easter egg activities a little late, but oh well! 🙂 Better late than never…I suppose!
E WORK
E Poke Page (NJoy decided this particular time that he did not want to do this activity, so MBug enjoyed it by herself.)
We also did Erica’s E Do-a-dot page, but I don’t think I took a picture of NJoy doing this one.
Starfall.com E Practice–I can’t even begin to count how many times NJoy played this egg one to see the eggs splatter. He laughed and laughed.
EGG/EASTER FUN
Easter Egg Print Awareness (FREE download)
I drew the egg and he decorated with stickers. I had bought some “Easter-y” stickers at the store, but he insisted on using his construction vehicle stickers. 🙂
Then, we built the sentence together…”I decorated my Easter egg.”
We did our Easter Egg Sequence Hunt.  (This FREE download has an extra couple of pages that the original didn’t have.)
MBug looked for eggs that had the Scrabble Cheez-It crackers in them. She would open them up and tell me what letter she saw. Her eggs were pink, as she thinks this is “her” color.
NJoy looked for 7 yellow eggs (one extra had candy); which all together spelled “Easter”. He glued each of the letters he found to the page you see in this picture, then drew Easter eggs above it.
ALuv looked for his blue eggs, which had the sentence: “It’s fun to hunt for eggs!” He sequenced the words; then wrote and drew a picture.
Easter Egg Tracing & Cutting (FREE download)
The second day, he cut it out.
Easter Coloring Page (MBug’s new thing is to ask me to write her name on all her papers. Then, she points to her name and says “Me!”, “Me!” over and over.)
Matching Easter egg halves (by color and pattern)
I found this activity on Activity Mom and did it with MBug…she LOVED it.
ABC Dot-to-Dot Sheet-I found in my Easter file in the attic. (Notice he’s beginning to do better holding the pen–IF I’m right there to help him; but it’s a start!)
Overall, we had a good week. I’m still learning how to balance it all. It’s especially tough with MBug these days…
She wants to do everything that NJoy does, but can make a BIG mess if my eyes aren’t on her constantly. Above, she decided she was done with the do-a-dot paint, so she proceeded to simply throw it on the floor. I’m SO glad I invested in a vinyl floor mat to go under her table! Do-a-dot paint is hard to get out of carpet! 🙂
