If you teach K-5th grade, the After School Link Up {posted each Monday} is such a great source of ideas! It’s unlike most link ups out there because it is reserved for the Elementary-aged student. I enjoy looking through the ideas shared every week. This week was no exception. My eye landed particularly on these 4 ideas. When I read them, I seriously thought, “Man, I wish I had thought of that!” Here they are:
I love, love, love this idea from 123 Homeschool 4 Me. What a hands-on and creative way to get kids spelling! Plus, she has a freebie! đ
These Fall Do-a-Dot sets from The Gift of Curiosity are fun for any Kindergartner. I recommend them highly, especially for reluctant learners.
Toss those flash cards when teaching doubles and use dominoes instead! Creative Family Fun even shares a modification you can make if you don’t have dominoes.
Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational always has such fun activities. She’s one of my go-to blogs. Her Fall Leaves BINGO is no exception!

Thanks so much Becky for featuring our shaving cream spelling mats =) My kids always ooh and ahh when they see what color comes through when they spell. It’s the simple things, right!
