One of my absolute favorite ways of ALL time to sneak in some learning is through games and toys {through play}. Most kids make stronger connections with learning when they can make their own meaning. Christmas is the perfect time to buy some of those games and toys, disguised as a fun Christmas gift, that kids can use in their learning. {Trust me. If you pick them just right, your kids won’t even know!} Here are a few gift guides I discovered from last week’s link up that may help yo {and me} out this year!
Do you have any natural explorers? Here are some great toys for helping them explore their world. {The Educators’ Spin on It}
For those kids who love math, check out this fantastic list from What Do We Do All Day?
If your child is struggling a bit with writing and needs to strengthen those fine motor skills {I’ve witnessed kids in 1st grade who still need to work on this!}, then Sugar Ants’ gift guide may have the perfect solution!
Maybe you’re unsure exactly what your child would like. Buggy and Buddy has a big list for the elementary-aged child. Take a look and see what strikes your fancy! 🙂
Now it’s your turn! We would love to have you link up your School-Age Post (Ages 5 and up) about your learning week after school including Crafts, Activities, Playtime and Adventures that you are doing to enrich your children’s lives after their day at school, homeschool or on the weekend!
