Yes, you read right. Christmas! I know, it’s just now November, but you know how time flies and I want you to be prepared. 🙂 And Beth Gorden’s ebook Christmas Crafts for Kids will do just that!
How Does Christmas Crafts for Kids Work?
Beth takes a different Christmas book each day (for 24 days) and lists LOADS activities (for ages 2-12) you can do with your family to match the theme of that book. The activities include mostly crafts and recipes. Just five of the 24 books she picked are, 12 Days of Christmas, J is for Jesus, The Polar Express, Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree, and The Legend of the Poinsettia. As you can see, there is a wide range of book themes. And even better, Beth has provided alternative books for each day, just in case the alternative fits your family better.
Christmas Crafts for Kids Works for the Non-Crafty Mom
It’s no secret that I stink at crafts. 🙂 So you’d think a book like this would turn me off. It doesn’t. And here’s a great list why:
- It’s Visual! No one likes to follow a craft or recipe outline without the picture of the final product (or maybe that’s just me?)
- It’s simple! The crafts and recipes don’t require me to travel on an airplane or by boat to buy the ingredients or supplies. I hate it when I see a recipe and then I can’t even pronounce half the ingredients. Not the case with Beth’s ideas. And even better yet- she provides a list in the appendix of all the supplies you’d need to buy to implement these activities.
- It’s flexible! Beth reminds readers over and over again to do (or leave out) the activities that fit for your family. Want to do the books in a different order? Do it. Want to leave out a book or two? Do it.
- It’s meant to build memories! Christmas Crafts for Kids is not about stress or staying super busy during the Christmas season. Beth says herself that it’s not about busyness, but about slowing down and creating memories with your kids.
- It’s comprehensive! You can find books and activities for any Christmas-based theme that you can think of, with alternatives to boot!
- It’s literacy-based! I love that Beth has integrated all of the crafts and recipes around books. How much fun is that?
You can buy Beth’s ebook HERE for $9.99 (we’re talking 166 pages, so this is no small deal).
Beth is also offering to give away one copy of Christmas Crafts for Kids to one of my readers, starting today! You can enter via the Rafflecopter widget below. Be sure to read the terms and conditions. By the way, this one is open world wide!
