Book and Print Awareness: From A to Z

photo of Book and Print Awareness from A to Z {This Reading Mama}

As NJoy {currently 4} and I have been working our way through my Reading the Alphabet curriculum, I have made it a point to focus on a book or print awareness skill that goes along with each letter of the alphabet.  As he reads his little readers or I read aloud to him, I mention and model these features and ask him to sometimes point them out as well.  {If you’re not sure what book and print awareness is, please check out this post.}

I thought I’d include all these skills in one post to help me stay better organized with my thoughts.  Many of these overlap, but that’s okay.  Reviewing these skills is a good thing, especially with a busy little boy! :)
