I don’t know when your 100th day of school is {or was}, but we just celebrated our 100th day of school this past week. We had a blast with some 100th day of school activities for reading, spelling, writing, and math.
Today, I’m going to share some of the activities we did plus share a FREE 100th Day of School Printable Pack {free download at the end of this post}. You can find more 100th day of school ideas in our 100th Day of School Blog Hop from last year, too.

100th Day of School Activities for Literacy
After reading, I’ll Teach My Dog 100 Words, we made little words with “one hundred days”. And yes! You CAN make 100+ smaller words with this phrase! It was an ongoing challenge we kept open all day and the boys added to their lists when they thought of more.
For NJoy {Kindergarten}, I created a Making Words Mat, as seen in the above image, so he could use it toĀ build words before he wrote them on his board.
He used it for a few words, but soon realized he could do it without the mat. š Each mat holds 25 words, so to reach 100, print off 4 mats.
100 Years Old Book
The favorite activity by FAR was our 100 Years Old Book! This brought lots of laughter to the day. The book fits this pattern: “When I am 100 years old… I will {add a verb here}Ā 100 _____, but not 100 ______.”
In the pack are TWO different versions. One for younger children {Pre-K through maybe 1st grades} with the verbsĀ filled in and a version for older kids {2nd and up} with the verbs not filled in.
I would suggest brainstorming a list of verbs before doing this activity with older kids. In the pack are some common verb cards and blank ones as well. I displayed the cards in our table top pocket chart for ALuv {3rd grade} to help him pick verbs forĀ his book.
They GREATLY enjoyed making these books AND reading them aloud to daddy over FaceTime. š
100th Day of School Activities for Math
We read 100 Hungry Ants by Elinor PinczesĀ together. Beforehand, I gave NJoy 100 Cheerios and several different mats for dividing the “ants” equally as we read along. Free mats are included in our pack for 2, 4, 5, and 10.
Once he divided up the Cheerios, he then wrote how many he had put in each circle.
ALuv wanted to listen along {as I knew he would}, so I made him division equations that he had to match as we read along.
These were just a few of our 100th Day of School Activities. If I can get it all finished, I’ll have a fun Hundreds Chart activity to share soon! š
